Re: Caring for Skin : How to Lighten Black Skin

its so sad how women today are suffering through unsafe methods all in order to become what other people think is beautiful. i believe we need to be secure in ourselves and i believe it needs to be done now. something needs to hit home for these ladies out there that are doing such things as bleaching their skin, straightening their hair, wearing contacts and developing eating disorders just to reach a standard of beauty that they may never achieve! frankly something needs to be realized here, and its that you are who you are and you need to love it. please ladies, let's stop torturing ourselves. its time for a change to be made.

oh and just to make a point (especially to this winston guy that keeps posting outrageous comments on my video) this was a comment reply that i was trying to post to his claim that there are no beautiful dark skinned celebrities well to that i say:

Gabrielle Union, Nia Long, Kelly Rowland, Naomi Campbell, Keisha Knight Pulliam, and thats just to name a few. now, take a look at this picture: http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f345/bojangles24/?action=view&current=prettygirl.jpg
beautiful girl, no? now take a look at THIS picture: http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f345/bojangles24/?action=view&current=o8tmq0.jpg

do you get the point yet winston??? yea, thought so. everyone else, please, feel free to comment!

i advise you all to … i advise you all to read up on your toni morrison, especially “the bluest eye”. it’s about an abused little girl who’s one wish is to be white so that she doesn’t have to endure the mistreatment that comes with her skin, and it’s family history.
“the color complex” (by kathy russell, midge wilson, and ronald hall) is also an excellent book for anyone who wants to know where all this craziness about skintone started.
lil wayne: “i like a long haired thick redbone”

@bintasyllah true … @bintasyllah true and thats why threwout history no matter what race when people like a tupac come into power those type of people are the first ones to cour like the filth they are and then wanna call themselfs plooting and scheming to take out threats who are people for the people who jsut maneged to come to power.

kinda like royalty who are fake then some lone warrior comes along and is so real he cuts him or herself to show he like they the people bleeds.

  20. PurpleAntiqueRoses Said,

@bradleasays True. … @bradleasays True. Everyone likes to “strive” for something to better themselves.

  21. bintasyllah Said,

  22. LGHHJHH Said,

@bintasyllah It … @bintasyllah It truly must be a sad day when people cut themselfs and tear there face up with harsh posions all to look like something they were never inteded to be this is why they will never truly get real respect in life.

  23. bintasyllah Said,

@LGHHJHH uhmmm… … @LGHHJHH uhmmm…where do we start…well, let’s just focus on the OBVIOUS ones like Diana Ross, lil’ Kim, Janet Jackson…hell, all the Jackson, Tyra Banks, Vivica Fox,

  24. LGHHJHH Said,

ANYONE WHO LIGHTENS … ANYONE WHO LIGHTENS THERE SKIN IS DISGUSTING I LOVE MY DARK BROWN SKIN AND WOULD NEVER CHANGE IT AND IF MY KIDS DID IT ID MAKE SURE THEY WOULD BE DEAD.
